Daddy
Emily is an Executive Producer of DADDY, a feature length documentary film directed by Hannah Myers. Three years in the works, DADDY is one family’s coming-of-age story that began as an old man’s coming out story - a character rarely seen on screen. The film explores the unique intersectionality of queerness with family, aging, religion, and class in the American South. It offers questions about how we care for one another when family isn’t all it’s promised to be… but perhaps something more than we ever imagined. But at its core, DADDY explores the unknowability of those we love most… and the desire to try anyway.
